In the past 2 days, there has been a recent rise in attention to Full House‘s Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and John Stamos from their appearances on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. It dawned on me Joey Gladstone’s infamous, “Cut. It. Out” and one of my recent favorite shoe trends are so on point with each other! Here are a few of my favorite ones:
Kelly Wearstler was a great influence (as I’m sure for many other designers as well) that intrigued me about rocks and minerals; how they can be used in different rooms, their different appearances, colors, and textures, and how they can make a room feel. For malachite, it’s that green hue and rippled look that is just that perfect mix of color AND texture!
During the holidays, an accent of a malachite piece or malachite accents around your home are just what you need! Here are a few of my favorite malachite items.
I couldn’t be more excited to announce this blogger collaboration I did with Nichole of the fashion blog, A Type of Style, who also just happens to be one of my best friends. Nichole and I have this problem where we have the EXACT same taste in clothing. No kidding. We excitedly texted each other when the Phillip Lim for Target collection hit stores to tell each other what we had gotten and not surprisingly we had picked out the same items. Sigh, we’re fashion soul mates. Even though we pick the same clothes, we don’t always style them the same way, so we decided to show you our perspective on the BOOM! sweatshirt. Hopefully this shows you that every piece in your closet can have great range depending on what you pair with it. Enjoy! (Also, look for more of these collabs in the future!)
AND BOOM GOES THE (3.1 Philip Lim for Target) DYNAMITE!
Watch this first, then proceed to read.
“Paint me like one of your girls, Mr. Roy Lichtenstein” I whispered when I checked myself out in the mirror. This outfit makes me feel like a mix of a Roy Lichtenstein painting, a Piet Mondrian painting, a tertiary color wheel, and a comic book. For my look, I chose to pair BOOM! sweatshirt with an Express quilted leather skirt, blue pumps, and a red clutch.
I love the playfulness Lim had with his Target collection. He ain’t scared of shit!
For Nichole’s look, she paired the BOOM! sweatshirt with some faux leather leggings, spike flats, her new House of Harlow earrings (gifted from the genius herself for Nichole’s birthday a few days ago! [Happy Birthday, Nichole!]) and her 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel.
Who can design a collection with a plethora of patterns, a shit load of color and still make it cohesive? Mara fuckin’ Hoffman.
How you can you not feel happy just looking at these pieces? Imagine wearing them! They are fun, vibrant, and just full of energy! Before the show, Hoffman said, “This collection is about straight-up happiness. I know that sounds hippie-dippie, but it’s real.”
